Akira Hiramoto’s Prison School Season 2 manga has become a hit, but does there any chance for a sequel? Anime fans eagerly await news whether or not this popular series will return for another season.

This story follows five male students from Hachimitsu Private Academy who were imprisoned by the Underground Student Council. These individuals include Kiyoshi Fujino, Takehito Morokuzu, Reiji Andou, Shingo Wakamoto and Jouji.

The Story

Akira Hiramoto’s Prison School has become one of the most beloved ecchi anime series. Initially serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine from 2011 to 2017, this manga continues to receive critical acclaim today.

The story follows five male students admitted to Hachimitsu Academy, which had previously been an all-girls school. When the boys are caught peering into the girls’ changing room, they are sent to prison for one month.

Kiyoshi and company manage to escape prison with Mari and Meiko’s help in smuggling out some school supplies. But they must now confront an entirely new obstacle in their fight for survival.

The series’ popularity was such that many fans are asking if there could be a Season 2. But is there really any chance we’ll get one? So, let’s explore the answers and hopefully give you even more reasons to be excited for its return in manga form.


Akira Hiramoto created the manga “Yukiyama no Shiba,” written and illustrated for fans by Akira Hiramoto. The story takes place at an elite all-girls boarding school renowned for its rigorous academic standards and strict discipline. When the first season of the anime debuted in 2015, it received widespread acclaim from viewers.

Kodansha publisher’s Weekly Young Magazine published the manga from February 2011 until December 2017. An anime adaptation produced by studio J.C Staff aired between July and September 2015, followed by a drama series that ran from October to December 2015.

Prison School’s debut season earned critical acclaim and awards, selling 13 million copies – making it one of the highest-selling manga series ever. These factors will likely spur the production team to pursue a sequel.

Kate, the Regular Student Council President, often takes advantage of Mari and Meiko from the Shadow Student Council. Kate takes pleasure in humiliating and punishing these children and will do anything to gain her revenge against them.


In 2015, Akira Hiramoto’s series “Kimono no Kage” premiered to worldwide acclaim and quickly gained global popularity. The show follows an all-girls boarding school known for its strictness as it follows its titular character’s life throughout their school days.

Kiyoshi Fujino’s story begins when he is accepted into Hachimitsu Academy, an all-girls school that used to be exclusive. During his first year there, he is joined by four other boys: Takehito Morokuzu, Joji Nezu, Shingo Wakamoto and Reiji Andou.

At first, they are simply trying to be mischievous and sneak into the girls’ washrooms in an effort to get closer to them. But soon enough they discover that their instructors are vicious and brutal.

They soon discover that Risa, Kate and Mitsuko are all masochists who take pleasure in punishing them. Their cruel treatment spurs them on to devise a plan to escape or save themselves and their colleagues – but will it work?
